This Strawberry Mango Smoothie tastes like summer in a glass! It’s a delicious smoothie combination that will make you feel like you’re on vacation.
You’ll love this strawberry mango smoothie recipe if you’re not a big fan of bananas in smoothies. It has a creamy frozen texture without a banana flavor. Serve it as an after-school snack or a refreshing summer drink.
It tastes better than anything you’d buy at a smoothie shop and would also make an excellent base for a smoothie bowl.
Strawberry Mango Smoothie Ingredients
The key to this smoothie’s texture is using a combination of fresh and frozen fruit. Since fresh strawberries are easier to prep than fresh mango, this recipe calls for fresh strawberries and frozen mango chunks. But feel free to swap these if you prefer! (There are also tips below if you only have frozen fruit to work with.)
Very little liquid is required for blending when you use fresh fruit, but the orange juice adds an extra punch of tropical flavor. I use almond milk in this recipe for dairy-free creaminess but feel free to swap it for your milk of choice.
Add Greek yogurt, chia seeds, or unflavored protein powder to make it more filling if you need to. This smoothie recipe is easy to customize!
How to Make a Strawberry Mango Smoothie
Combine the fresh strawberries, frozen mango, orange juice, and almond milk in a high-speed blender. Secure the lid and blend until smooth, about 60 seconds.
Taste the smoothie and make any adjustments. You can add Greek yogurt, a spoonful of almond butter, or protein powder to help keep you feeling satisfied longer.
Add a handful of ice cubes and blend again for a slushier texture until it reaches the consistency you like. Adding ice will dilute the flavor slightly, so start with a few cubes and taste as you go.
Serve the smoothie right away for the best flavor and texture. Leftovers can be poured into an ice pop mold for an easy treat you can store in the freezer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, of course! This recipe would pair well with pineapple juice instead of orange juice. You can also use water or coconut water instead of almond milk.
Yes, if you have frozen strawberries and frozen mango to use, use 1/2 cup of each in this recipe. You’ll also need to increase the liquid, starting with a 1/2 cup of orange juice and a 1/2 cup of almond milk. You may need to add a little more liquid as you blend, just 1 tablespoon at a time, until it’s smooth. Because frozen fruit isn’t always as flavorful, you may want to add a little sweetness, like half of a date, or a touch of maple syrup or honey.
Yes, you can use any other non-dairy milk, like oat milk, coconut milk, or hemp milk, for a vegan smoothie or regular milk.

I am on a health kick trying to incorporate healthier choices as far as what I eat and drink.I decided to start having a smoothie at night that would be good for me and keep me from eating before bed. I was very excited to run across this smoothie recipe and couldn’t wait until I arrived home from work. Very easy to make and taste absolutely amazing.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for letting me know.
What brand orange juice did you use?
I buy the cold-pressed (unpasteurized) juice from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods.
I really liked this smoothie! It has that smoothness because of the avocado. And I put in the cauliflower instead of the banana. I want to get used to low sugar smoothies! My 1st time putting in avocado & cauliflower in a smoothie…. What a wonderful recipe & so healthy! I put in some flax seeds as well…. Thanks so much Megan!
Can not wait to get started on some of these
We made this recipe for breakfast and everyone in my family loved it! the flavor and color were great. my picky eater kids are warming up to the idea of low sugar smoothies so thanksss! #detoxinistachallenge
Yum! This is an awesome smoothie recipe, Megan! Can I use lemon juice instead of orange juice?
I would use a LOT less lemon juice, since it’s so tart, but I’m sure that would be tasty.
It looks amazing.
Can you use water instead of orange juice for a less acidic option?
I betting part coconut water mixed with it would be good then it has extra electrolytes
Quite honestly, I had no idea mango’s were so good for you. I have no idea why I “get all weird” about buying them in the grocery store because they would be perfect in this smoothie!
I feel intimidated by the fresh ones, because I feel like they’re tricky to cut properly! I feel like I always waste some of the yummy insides, so I buy frozen more often than not just so that the work is done for me. 😉
I love this! Using frozen fruits especially bananas makes smoothies so creamy, my fave!!!
