Once you taste this creamy strawberry yogurt smoothie, it may quickly become one of your favorites. It’s become one of our go-to healthy snacks. My kids don’t love to eat yogurt on its own, but they will happily sip this smoothie.

Serve it in a glass, or pour it into a bowl and enjoy it with a spoon and your favorite toppings. It’s an easy way to squeeze more vitamins and antioxidants into your day!

Ingredients You’ll Need

We make this recipe most often with vanilla yogurt because that’s what my kids are willing to eat. If you prefer to use Greek yogurt, you’ll get more protein in each sip! (Add a drizzle of sweetener, like honey or maple syrup, if you need it.)

yogurt, frozen strawberries, sliced frozen bananas, milk, and flax seeds on a white surface.

Paired with frozen strawberries and bananas plus some flaxseed for extra fiber, this smoothie tastes amazing. But it’s also easy to customize!

Use frozen blueberries, raspberries, peaches, mixed berries, pineapple, or mango for a different fruity flavor. You can also replace some of the milk with orange juice or other fruit juice for extra sweetness.

How to Make a Yogurt Smoothie

In a high-speed blender, add the yogurt, strawberries, banana slices, ground flaxseed, and milk. Secure the lid and blend until smooth.

When there are no visible chunks, taste the smoothie and make any adjustments as needed.

You can add a drizzle of honey if you need a sweeter drink, or add some ice if you’d like a slushy texture.

Serve this strawberry yogurt smoothie right away for the best flavor and texture. If you have leftovers, pour them into a popsicle mold and store them in the freezer for a frozen treat in the future.

Notes

Nutrition information is for the whole batch. This information is automatically calculated using generic ingredients, so it’s just an estimate, not a guarantee.
Yogurt Note: This recipe was tested with vanilla goat’s milk yogurt by Redwood Hill Farm. If you use plain Greek yogurt, it will have a more tangy, sour flavor, so you might want to add extra sweetener in that case.
Customize It: Feel free to add any other extras you love, like a scoop of protein powder, or a few tablespoons of rolled oats. Leave out the ground flaxseeds if you don’t keep them on hand. This smoothie is easy to change based on what you have on hand.
